Our adult and family camps provide the break you need from your daily routine.
These events are held over weekends to help you make the break. There's plenty to do, but no pressure to do it all while you are here. Just soak in God's creation, God's Word, and some of the best of God's people...then return to your life refreshed and challenged to be who God has called you to be.
Our youth/kids camps are designed to build Godly relationships empowered by the Word of God while out in God's creation.
Students come to camp with counselors from their church. This is intentional, providing a bridge into the real lives of students after they leave the mountain.
From the eye popping new experience of a 3rd grader to the life altering decision made by a high school senior, a week at camp is always a powerful event.
Interested? Just give us a call and see what it is all about.

A week at camp is an unforgetable life changing experience. It is a week filled with adventure, challenge, and fun, and it will become a launching point for life long friendships. But our most important goal is to impact campers with the amazing truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want everyone who comes here to fall in love with Jesus. This is the core of who we are and everything we do. Thank you for trusting your child with your church and with us! We look forward to serving you!

Counselors are supplied by attending churches. We require that leaders be background checked by the local church. Remember our goal is to help you build relationships, so we always seek a high counselor to camper ratio!
Medicine must be provided in original packaging with Dr. directions.
Church counselors will dispense meds to their campers. The camp nurse can assist if necessary.
EPCC will have a nurse available to address health issues and be a friend to coach through homesick youngsters!

FACILITIES
Why Your Group Should Choose Our Facility
We are large enough to comfortably serve groups of 250+, but small enough that even smaller groups can still affordably reserve our entire facility to themselves. We won't nickle and dime you on activities while you are here. We are the only facility that will provide you staffed facilitation of activities at no extra charge to your group! While you are here, we are your camp...period!
What You Can Do While You Are Here
We like to think of our facility as an empty shell ready to be filled with your ideas. We can help you lead hikes into the Pecos Wilderness, facilitate the ropes course, paintball course, or big wall rappeling for you, or help you put together group games and activities. Of course the earlier you communicate to us what you want to do, the better we can help you succeed.
How Much Will It Cost
We make it simple for your group by quoting a cost/person price so you know exactly what to expect. This price is based on the number of nights that you stay, the number and type of meals that you desire, and the time of our season that you want to rent. We are a not-for-profit camp, so every penny of your fee goes back into this ministry. And by the way, serving you is our ministry!
When Can You Rent
Our facility is open all year. Capacity does shrink from November-April to about 180 guests from our normal 256. Check our list of current available dates by clicking above. We do still have some rare openings on our summer and fall calendar for 2012!
INTERESTED? READ MORE!
First, check our available dates and current rates
Use the links on this page, or call us for the most current dates and a specific rate quote. We turn groups away every year who want prime summer slots, so don't delay!
Next, schedule a tour
Call our office to schedule a tour. It is much easier to envision how your programming will fit into our setting and facilities if you take an hour to walk around the property and discuss things with a member of our staff. We are a 2 hour drive from Albuquerque and 4 hours from Amarillo. If you want to see it all, bring your walking shoes!
Then, consider which facilities you want and your activities
If you want to rent during the summer, you must commit to renting our entire facility. For a full week slot, expect to commit to paying for at least 90 in attendance. For a weekend slot, you can rent our entire facility and only commit to 50 in attendance. If you don't want to rent our entire facility, consider an off-season (Sept-May) slot.
The paintball course, high and low ropes courses, rappelling, and facilitated hikes require that you to give us advance notice so we can have proper staffing in place to serve you. This is especially true during the off-season when we often schedule part-time staff to facilitate events only when arranged in advance.
Finally, lets talk food service
For groups of 40 or more, we can provide food service to you from our main dining hall. Contact us to talk menu and pricing options. Our goals include variety of choice, eating pleasure, and NEVER leaving hungry! For groups of 50 or smaller, you may bring your own groceries and cook your own meals at one of the residential style kitchens around camp.
GO BACK
We have a simple motto here:
Provide a Place for God to Change Lives.
The longer version is this:
We are a non-profit Christian Camp and Retreat Center owned and operated by independent Christian Churches. Established in 1956, it is our purpose to provide a unique mountain environment for God to use His Word, His people, and His creation to renovate, refresh, and challenge hearts to follow Jesus. We offer camps and retreats for all ages as well as a place for your church to conduct their camps and retreats. We also offer cabins for rent year around to support the Christian individual and family.
Campus Overview
Embedded in the middle of the Santa Fe National Forest, our facility is like a small hidden community in a mountain forest playground! If your goal is to get away from it all, we do it better than anybody else. Yet with our free wi-fi connectivity (not offered to youth campers!), quality food service, and private sleeping quarters, it is easy to feel like you are right at home!
Sleeping Cabins
We want you to sleep well at EPCC. We strive to provide a clean, private, and comfortable night stay. Scroll through this gallery to see inside our log home style dormatory cabins which feature small private rooms, our family cabins and hotel rooms which are available for rent year around, our more traditional style yellow dorm, and our seasonal private bungalows. Click on the photos for more detailed information.
Group Meeting Spaces
SEE A CHAPEL VIDEO
The largest meeting spaces are of course the Dining Hall (300) and the Chapel (300). In addition, around 50-75 people can use the yellow dorm lobby which has a small kitchen or the old chow hall dining room down the hill. If you don't want to go indoors, you can use one of our four outdoor gazebos spread around camp. These can hold anywhere from 20-40 people each and keep you dry during those cool mountain rain showers.
Activities
There are many exciting things to do while you are here. From our on campus offerings including our high and low ropes courses with rock climbing wall and zip line, to our all new paintball course, to a new 9 hole disc golf course, we have something for everyone. Our facility really stands above the rest when you go off campus on one of the four major day hiking destinations. These are some of the best hiking trails in the state! From an easy half hour stroll along El Porvenir Creek, to a fourty-five minute jaunt up Sunrise peak or to the copper mine, or even a full day hiking trip up Hermit's peak, there is a trail for every level of adventure seeker.
Food Service
For groups of 40 or more, we can provide food service to you from our main dining hall. This facility which was just completed in 2005 has a commercial kitchen that can feed up to 400 people, a large fireplace, and a huge porch area. For groups of 50 or smaller, you may bring your own groceries and cook your own meals at one of the five residential style kitchens around camp.
We have many great facilities here at EPCC. Our facility can comfortably sleep around 256 guests, but have accomidated as many as 340 when necessary by utilizing extra mattresses, cots, and even tents. Both our Dining Hall and Chapel will seat around 300 comfortably. Use the controler button at the bottom right to investigate what we have to offer. -Pet pieve: anytime someone doesn't get a hot meal!
-Quote from Rita, "Always have a plan B!"
We have two families that live and work full time at the camp. With the help of a core group of part time staff who live locally, we can provide full food service and activity facilitation year around. During the summer, we hire a full time food service manager with a support staff, a team of Christian college age students to facilitate activities, an office manager, and a maintenance support team. During the summer, we can provide a support crew of up to 20 staff to take care of even the largest and most demanding events.
It is the character of our staff that really sets us apart from other places. During the application process, the most important factor that decides who we ask to join our team each year is a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ that results in a heart that is eager to serve.
